Andrew Came Home to Visit

My brother Andrew is in the Army and he is stationed overseas. He got a two week leave a couple of weeks ago and I got the chance to spend a couple of days with him. Can I just say that my brother is amazing and I can't wait until he gets to come home for good. We talked alot and he shared with me what he does on a daily basis as well as what it is like to live in a desert. It sounded as if they were in the middle of a desert without any life, expect the people he works with. What a lonely place - no friends, no family, no familar places. I would have a hard time surviving in a place like that. Yes he made friends and he is now familar with his surroundings, but what a totally different world. The more we talked the more he revealed to me that he got through each day by living it for the Lord. How amazing is that! Each day Andrew knows there is one who he can always count on and that is God. Andrew inspires me to live each day here for the Lord. To not let my world get so bogged down with trying to make others happy or trying to get things done, but to remember to live each day for God and the rest will fall into place.
