Church on Every Corner

It amazes me how in the town I live in there is a church literally on every corner. You would think that everyone here would go to church and would know the Lord. That would make logical sense. Why else would they have a church on every corner? That is not the case, not everyone in the town knows the Lord. Why not? What are the churches doing wrong? Maybe we are staying inside our church buildings too much and wanting people to come to us instead of us going to them. What would church look like if we left the comfort of our pews and entered back into the world? I am not saying becoming of the world, but not being afraid to encounter the world. Meet people where they are at, develop a relationship and then share the Lord with them. Would church be in a bar or in a public park or maybe even at a sporting event? Isn't this what Jesus meant by calling us to go into all the world?

Amen. I feel you. I get frustrated when we live in our Christian world. From Christian Karate to a Christian waterpark. It has gone a tad too far.
